Witham Rotary Club Chains of Office

We are lucky to have this display box of ceremonial chains from the Witham Rotary Club. Whilst the Rotary Club is still in existence across the country, sadly the Witham Branch has now disbanded. Rotary is a fundraising organisation supporting charities all over the world. They have also run an annual duck race for many years, as well as bringing the magic of Santa to the streets around Witham in the run up to Christmas.

These chains date to 1948 and show the names of former presidents of the club throughout the years, including many recognisable surnames amongst them.
