Guide to Newland Street

This 'Guide to Newland Street' was produced by Witham & Countryside Society, and written by Tom Henderson, then Chairman of the Society. The Guide is dated 1984, and references shops no longer in the high street, however the information in the booklet goes right back to the Knights Templar.

As well as Newland Street, the 28 page pamphlet also covers connecting roads and the surrounding area. Whilst many of the buildings remain the under the same ownership as in 1984, there are many interesting changes which take us back to that time 40 years ago.
