Witham Puppet Festival is traditionally held on the third Saturday of September and is an action packed day of family fun, featuring mixed puppet acts from far and wide. Organisations from all across the town take part in the free event. Story telling puppetry takes place throughout the day in the Library for the younger audience in our community and free craft stalls are held in accordance with the chosen theme.
The theme for 2018 is “Wild & Wonderful” which promises to feature an array of wild creatures such as a Giant Octopus called Octavia, Dragons, Flamingos and Latin Horses. The legendary Bubble Wizard, Pongo and Punch and Judy. Look out for the Flame Guys and Skillywidden at the Squashbox Theatre. Beware of the Dinosaurs. Programmes will be published in the Autumn copy of The Voice.
