Witham Puppet Festival is traditionally held on the third Saturday of September and is an action packed day of family fun, featuring mixed puppet acts from far and wide. Organisations from all across the town take part in the free event. Story telling puppetry takes place throughout the day in the Library for the younger audience in our community and free craft stalls are held in accordance with the chosen theme.
The theme for 2017 is “Under The Sea” which promises to feature a vast array of swashbuckling madness from the deep, briny blue. Previous themes have included Magic & Mystery and Dragons. This year, look out for the giant seagulls and a returning favorite from last year, The Bubble Wizard. Programmes will be published in the Autumn copy of The Voice.
