In Spring 2003, after extensive Public Consultation, the Witham Town Plan was published. Its aim was for every resident in the town to voice their views as to how Witham should develop in the future. Residents were encouraged to express their likes and dislikes about the town and their opinions as to how the town could be improved. The Town Plan was always intended to be a living document and to be regularly reviewed. More recently we have found major funding could be available to community groups for projects and consequently the Witham Community Partnership has been created from the original Town Plan Steering Group. A limited company has been formed and charity status is being sought. Phil Barlow Chairman of the Witham Community Partnership
