Witham's International Puppet Festival

Every September Witham hosts the increasingly popular International Puppet Festival.

Organised by Witham Town Council, the one day Festival is held on a Saturday. The Town Centre is the stage for numerous acts ranging from the traditional Puppet Show to hi-tech Robots! In the past Witham has hosted a huge farmyard pig with windows in its tummy to view a play, a four poster bed to lay on to enjoy a surreal experience that involved a contortionist climbing through a picture and long necked aliens!
